On Sunday
December Fourteenth, 2008 The Yonkers Amateur Radio Club (YARC) held it's Holiday Party at the First Police Precinct meeting
room, on Grassy Sprain Road in Yonkers.
|
|
| Carol -K3CWR and Efrem-W2CZ |
More than celebrating any one holiday, the party celebrates
the friendships and bonds that have been formed all 12 months prior.
This party was a GAS! NOTE: whenever
"one or more hams - we tend to talk to ourselves too" get together, the room starts to fill with
quite a lot of HOT AIR!)
- just ask my wife! -
|
|
| Johnnie KC2EXA and Anna (outsides) |
Whatever the reason that two of our members get together we make memories that will last a lifetime.
|
|
| Mike (KF2FK) and his XYL Nancy who passed her test at WECA a few days ago so her call sign is not in |
We would like to thank the City of Yonkers Police Department, and
all of the officers for their kindness and understanding each and very month, all year long we hold meetings and VE Amateur
Test Sessions here. Many officers are friends, or relatives of club members and we could not ask for a finer group to represent
us in times of trouble.
Our police officers, as well as our club members are truly "The Finast"!
Now YARC may not be the biggest Ham club around, but
we are by far the closest "Family" of Hams you will ever find. Here are some photos of our family members!
This Party was the first time we met Efrem, Nichole & Mike (UJU). These are
three of our best friends in YARC.
