Held on the first Sunday of every month at 8:30 am (most of the time we're there a
little early). The Yonkers Amateur Radio Club ARRL VE "A-Team" administers FCC Amateur Radio exams.

On June 7th, 2009 Mikie gave Mike-KA2FBL just what he asked for. An early Fathers Day gift. Mikie took his
Amateur Radio exam and passed!
His FCC call sign is KC2VKH (Very Kind Ham).
Pssst....Mikie, upgrading to General
now would be a lot easier for you (only think'n of you kid!) than studying all over again for
December (my
birthday).
You could make it a REAL early birthday gift!
No need to wrap it either... "Dad"

week after I published this page and the above photo, The photo, along with it's caption was added to the YARC web
site and at the YARC June '09 monthly meeting Dan and Paul were honored by the club and presented with mounted certificates
for their dedication and efforts to further the hobby of Amateur Radio.

Remember to study for the Amateur Class of license above the one you are testing for. When
you pass the exam, the next class exam (at the same session) is given at no charge! This means for the $15.00 test fee
you can go from not being licensed, to holding an Amateur Extra class license...
So Study!
