Happy New Year!
Carol and I would like to wish all of our friends a very Happy, Healthy, New Year!
As I write this today comes
to a close. Busy day too. Today was the first VE of the new year and we participated in the YARC VE. So many hams tickets
have our call signs on the bottom that it humbles us to look back. We are either part of a new hams journey around the world,
or part of their upgrading due to the enjoyment received from this great hobby. Either way we feel blessed to play a small
part in it all.
Look foward to a great new year of more than just "the same 'ol thing" We are working
on projects that we hope will take off and really help the hobby that has given us so many new friends.
This Spring
will be my "Baskin Robbins" . . . 31 Years! What flavor was 31?

WECA VE Certificates
I'm proud to report that Carol and I received Certificates from Stan WA2NRV for attendence
at WECA VE sessions. Carol attended 10 and I attended 11 in the last 12 months. If it was not for being sick we would have
nailed an even dozen each!
Also, West Mountain Radio was at the WECA meeting. After carefull consideration and
chatting with Gordon W2TTT, I am going to rebuild my Radio in a Box with nicer wood. I of course will add some nice refinements too.
So I am downsizing the Rigrunner from a 4012 to a 4008. The TGE Booster will also be downsized to the NON-fan version to conserve
battery power. All this may prompt me to add a solar battery charger and slide the FT-8900 in to use the setup as a remote
emergency simplex repeater on Field Day. We shall see how it comes out!

Just wanted to say a quick Thanks to everyone who visits
our sites. In the last 6 months traffic is up almost 90%. Last month alone we had 75,000 visitors! Pretty good for a 1 year
old site!!!!
Thanks again - Carol & Mike

Hamfests 2010
Please note... We have a new section
in the web site "Hamfests 2010" These will be set up by the "date of the Hamfest order".
Seperate pages with directions and maps by Microsoft Maps along with contact links and numbers will be included. In other
words if you live in a 50 mile area of the hamfest you should be there to meet us. Our first one up is by the person who gave
me the idea for the section, Gordon W2TTT. Check out his groups Hamfest (which includeds breakfast - Sweat Deal!) and
send me good copies of others you would like posted. Send them to KA2FBL@LIVE.COM .
